   <title>BrickMagic a Resounding Success!</title>

&lt;p&gt;The first BrickMagic convention had 8000 public visitors over the  Mother&#039;s Day weekend. 95 exhibitors presented three train layouts, FIRST  LEGO League robots, castles and much more during the event. Exhibitors  came from as far as Pennsylvania and Florida, and all had a great time!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;See animated brick films and other LEGO-themed shorts during the First Annual BrickFlix Film Festival, at the Carolina Theatre, 309 W Morgan Street, Durham, North Carolina on Wednesday, May 5! Special guest David Pagano, an animator whose resume includes work for the LEGO Group (including Space Police and the LEGO Club Show) will be on hand to demonstrate how his films are made, and take questions after each screening!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;First showing: 7:00pm for ALL AGES&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;
(one hour of films, followed by a 30-minute Q&amp;A with animator David Pagano).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Second showing: 9:00pm for AGES 16-UP ONLY&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;
(includes some scenes that may be too intense for younger viewers, and followed by a more in-depth discussion with David Pagano).&lt;/p&gt;

Tickets are only $4.75 each! Advance tickets may be purchased at the Carolina Theatre box office. The box office is open at 11am every weekday. &lt;p&gt;I was tipped off about this, and it&#039;s rather short notice, but worth note:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Southwest Airlines is having a promotion for Valentine&#039;s Day (sorta) called Travel Near With Your Dear, running through Thursday, Feb 11. Depending on distance, a flight can be as low as $39 one way. Raleigh-Durham Airport qualifies for this from the following airports: Baltimore, Birmingham, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Nashville, and Philadelphia.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For other low-cost flights, you can check out JetBlue, where a flight from Buffalo NY to Raleigh Durham will cost $108. JetBlue has no deadline though.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Other airlines that serve RDU include US Airways, Continental, American Airlines, Air Canada, Delta, United  and AirTran.&lt;/p&gt;

BrickMagic&#039;s registration went live, so registration is a bit easier.  Registering entails signing up for an account. When you confirm your account e-mail, you&#039;ll be able to register yourself and family to exhibit MOCs and vendor tables, if you wish to sell at the event.

Registration is $50 per person and $100 per vendor table, limit of 4 per vendor.
